Amboseli National Park in Kenya
Amboseli National Park is located in Kenya and spans the area crossing the Kenya-Tanzania border with various wildlife animals wandering around the vegetation habitat. The Park has two of the five main swamps i.e the dried-up Pleistocene lake and semiarid vegetation. The Park is known for its big herds of elephants, birds like water birds, pelicans, kingfishers, crakes, hammerkops and 47 different types of raptors. The Park comprises of wildlife animals like the African bush elephants, Cape buffaloes, impala, East African lions, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, Masai giraffes, Grant’s zebras, blue wildebeest.
What to Do in the Park
Game Drives
Game Drives are the most prominent safari activity Carried out in the park as this enables watch various wildlife animals in a 4×4 vehicle as you move from one track to another. The wildlife animals you watch include; African bush elephants, Cape buffaloes, impala, East African lions, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, Masai giraffes, Grant’s zebras, blue wildebeest etc as well as peacocks.
Cultural Encounters
Cultural Encounters are also exciting in the Park as you explore and visit the local Masai People who tell you about their traditions and customs. When you meet the local Masai people, learn about their traditions and customs as well as the Manyattas which they build with dry grass and mud, hunting techniques, pastoralism etc.
